Startup companies
The work of the Use Less Group has now led to five Startup companies. Reduse Ltd and Foreseer Ltd have closed, but the three companies listed here are prospering and growing, demonstrating that Use Less can be the root of new commercial prosperity, as well as aligning with our values and being essential to meeting our climate goals.
DeepForm Ltd. Chris Cleaver move on from the Use Less Group to be CEO of DeepForm Ltd which is commercialising our invention of the Folding-Shearing process. Following funding rounds in 2024 and 2026, the company now employs ~15 people and has signed first license agreements for full production.
Reclinker Ltd. Cyrille Dunant and Phillipa Horton moved on from the Use Less group to set up Reclinker Ltd, commercialising our invention of electric cement recycling. With Poppy Brewer and CEO Bill Yost, the company completed two funding rounds in 2024 and 2026 and has now sold its first products.
Structural Panda Ltd. Building on the code developed by Cyrille Dunant, Hannes Gauch and others in the Use Less Group, Structural Panda sells software to reduce the embodied carbon of building design, by exploring thousands of early stage options.
